In a Hollywood world defined by starry shenanigans and lewd controversies, it is like a breather of fresh air to find guys like Keanu Charles Reeves.
For a man whose first name in Hawaiian means cool breeze over the mountains and someone who has been been born in Beirut, Lebanon, grown up in Toronto, Canada, ran away often to California- the meaning of a home is just as important as the search for one.
Keanu, the star of Matrix trilogy, those funny Bill and Ted’s movies, The Lake House and many more uplifting dramas has for 3 decades been roaming around, trying to keep his feet at one position but never quite managed to do so.
Until now, where at 52, post 30 years of gypsying around and living off at Hotels, expensive chalets, dropping off at friends’- Keanu has finally found a place he calls home. And that too with quite that characteristic chuckle.
With those melancholic eyes and somber but feathery baritone, Reeves finally revealed that he purchased his home; a dream destination of sorts, seeing which at once compelled him to believe that it was the place he had always searched for.
While he hasn’t yet revealed which exactly is his one-stop destination for all intents and purposes, it is clear that his house is in the heart of Los Angeles, ever the city which Reeves came crashing to every now and again and the famous scene of his running away to, post the success of that Coca Cola commercial shot in Canada (circa 1980s). Whatever it is Keanu, you’re going to always be this saintly, melancholic monk who loves globe-trotting. Your abode in LA may just make you more calm and saintly that you’ve so truly been in all these years.
